Spaghetti
8 oz.
Uncooked Whole Wheat Spaghetti
2 Egg Whites
1/2 Cup Skim Milk
1/2 teaspoon Salt
6 oz Morningstar Farms Grillers Veggie Crumbles, slightly thawed
3 Italian Boca Sausages
1 Small Onion, chopped
1/4 Cup Green Pepper, chopped
14 oz. Meatless Spaghetti Sauce
8 oz. Tomato Sauce
6 Slices Pepper jack cheese, or cheese of your choice (1 pt. per
slice).
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cook spaghetti according to package
directions; drain. Cook the sausages in the microwave according to
box directions. Flake with a fork to resemble ground sausage, set
aside. In a large bowl, beat the egg whites milk and salt. Add
spaghetti; toss to coat. Transfer to a 9X13 baking dish sprayed with
nonstick cooking spray. In a large skillet, mix the Morning Star
Crumbles, Italian sausage, onion, and green pepper. Cook over medium
heat until the crumbles are hot and the vegetables are tender. Add
spaghetti sauce and tomato sauce; mix well. Spoon over the spaghetti
mixture and spread evenly. Bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Place
cheese slices on top (1 slice over each serving) and bake 10 minutes
longer or until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 minutes before
cutting.
