Recipes - Crockpot

 

 

 

 

Aztec Black Beans

1 Pound Dried Black Beans
1 (16 oz.) Jar of Chunky Salsa

Rinse beans, removing any stones or foreign objects. Cover with hot water and soak over night.
Drain beans and place back into crockpot and mix with salsa. Add just enough water to cover beans (about 1 1/2 - 2 Cups). Stir.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.

Serves: 12 (1/2 Cup Each)
Per Serving: 140 Calories; 1g Fat (3.9% calories from fat); 9g Protein; 26g Carbohydrate; 6g Dietary Fiber; 0mg Cholesterol; 166mg Sodium. Exchanges: 1 1/2 Grain(Starch); 1/2 Lean Meat; 1/2 Vegetable. WWP: 2
