Recipes - Crockpot

Green Beans with Ham and Potatoes

38 oz. (approx. 6-8) Raw Potatoes, quartered
2 (50 oz.) Cans Green Beans, undrained
1 (8 oz.) Package Diced Ham w/ Water Added (I used John Morrell)
2-4 Tablespoons Ham Base
Pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in crockpot, but only start with 2 tablespoons of ham base (You can always add more later). If you add too much it may be too salty for you. Try to make sure the potatoes are pushed under the liquid. Cook on high for 6 hours, or until potatoes are soft. Using a slotted spoon, pull the potatoes out of the mixture and let cool slightly. Use an egg slicer and slice the potatoes when done, then stir them back into the bean mixture. If you don't have an egg slicer, you can just use a fork and break the potatoes into small pieces.
