Nutri-Grain Cake
1 Package
Betty Crocker Butter Recipe Yellow Cake Mix
3/4 Cup Fat Free Margarine Spread
2 1/2 Cups Quick Oats
1 (12 oz.) Jar Smuckers Light Sugar Free Jam, any flavor
1 Tablespoon Water
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Combine cake mix and oats in a large bowl; stir in margarine and
blend until the mixture is combined. Measure half of the oat mixture
(about 1 3/4 Cups) into a 9x13 inch pan that has been sprayed with
non-stick cooking spray. Press firmly into the pan using waxed paper
to cover the bottom. Combine preserves and water; spoon over the oat
mixture in pan and spread evenly. Crumble the remaining oat mixture
evenly over the top of the jam then, pat lightly to make the top
even. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is lightly browned.
Cool completely before cutting. Note: I used seedless blackberry jam
and it was excellent!
